Sherwood forest Time trail - September 28th/29th:

Sherwood Time trail is still rated as one of our most enjoyable shows due to its location and the public. Saturday threatened to echo the weather from last year, with drifts of rain finding us through the trees; but still the public came. Eventually the rain stopped but late Saturday night and well into Sunday morning the temperature plummeted due to clear skies which tested our artic kit to the limit.... Where did that cold snap come from?... Brrrrrrrrr.

Whether it was a spell of madness or the cold weather effecting several members of the group, some rather unorthodox kit variations appeared. From Temperate to Cold weather and from Chemical to Artic. At least it gave people something to talk about.

Paul donned his NBC suit in an effort to keep warm and stayed that way for the rest of the day frightening the young and old alike, but the public loved it.

Now Darren in a fit of madness or genius, which ever way ( it worked ) suddenly acquired almost a whole artic snow kit, Ski's, Snow shoes and crampons, and spent the day entertaining the visitors.  Darren is now looking for the rest of the kit he requires so hopefully in the near future we can do a special page for him.
