South Cheshire Militaire -
26th February
|
| Not a military show but local and at least it
was indoors in the warmth and dry. The response was very high and we
learnt another few valuable lessons in crowd (Sprog) control. We were
situated in a very prominent position right next to the Dalek's who
instantly started attacking us uttering cries of "Exterminate"
and "Unit members must be Exterminated" which was a good laugh
not to mention the local rag turned up and took photos of us attacking the
Dalek's which left us in hysterics.
It was also the first outing for our Falklands regiments; The Welsh
Guards and 40 Commando. Over all a good result and a cracking day. |

Rufford Through The Ages -
Rufford Abbey, Notts.
|
This was our first main show of the season and
it turned out to be a very wet one. Due to the weather conditions
the public attendance was low but the interest was very high. The Medieval
and Roman re-enactors looked on in jealousy as we were walking around
in good old British army ponchos and nice warm dry boots.
